There are many perks of being a #DoverHallBride, but today I’m going to touch on one of my personal favorites. With 55 acres of rolling hills and a 33,000 square foot English Tudor estate, it’s no surprise that Dover Hall is the perfect backdrop for special photographs. When a couple books their big day at Dover Hall Estate, we throw in complimentary access to the estate for a portrait session for either engagement pictures or bridal portraits.
We always suggest getting engagement photos taken before the big day for many reasons.
It gives you a chance to test out your photographer! You will want to get to know your wedding photographer before the actual day because you will be spending A LOT of time with them. You want to make sure you are comfortable around them!
It’s a great time to become familiar with the estate! You and your photographer will get the chance to find your favorite areas around Dover Hall so you can start working on your shot list for the wedding day.
It’s an opportunity to practice your posing! You don’t want your wedding day to be the first time posing for pictures, it can feel a bit awkward at first. Getting engagement pictures done can give you the practice and experience to feel CONFIDENT on your wedding day. Your wedding pictures will look more relaxed and natural when it’s not your first time getting photos taken!
You will treasure the pictures forever, and can even use them for the wedding! Engagement photos are great to use for your Save the Dates. We LOVE it when couples use their Dover Hall engagement pictures as decor at their wedding. Getting engaged is just a great excuse to get pictures taken!
Most photographers include it in their wedding package! With complimentary access to the estate AND a complimentary session with your photographer, what is there to lose?!
